This week I’ve decided to put my money behind Ozone.

Ozone is a love story set in a grim future where earth is populated equally by androids and humans. It explores the possibility of artificial life developing feelings and what happens when a man falls in love with an android woman. The setting looks very bleak and post apocalyptic, but that’s just a back  drop for the story that’s at the heart of the film. The film itself has already been shot on green screens about three years ago, but when the creators got to the post production phase they quickly ran out of money to complete their project. Since then they have been chipping away at it slowly in their free time, but have made very little progress due to their day jobs. They have turned to Kickstarter in hopes of raising the money to see their film completed.

The main guys behind this project are Branko Sujic and Mirko Milosevic from Belgrade, Serbia. These guys are highly trained professionals and have an impressive list of credits in their country. They are passionate about their project, which should be apparent since they began planning and writing it all the way back in 2006.

I have a lot of confidence that these guys will produce something spectacular if they can reach their goal. As you can see from the before and after image above, and other examples in their intro video on the project page, they have already made some truly stunning stuff. If that’s not enough to convince you go watch their video on the project page, it is quite possibly the most depressing plea for help I’ve seen on Kickstarter. I understand all too well what these guys are going through.

There you have it. If this sounds even a little interesting to you I highly recommend you take a look at the project page for Ozone.
