This week we’re going to take a look at Zombie Hunter.

I don’t think there will ever be a shortage of zombie movies in this world, and honestly when I first clicked on the link for this project I expected it to be just another one of those low budget independent gore fests that I loathe. On the surface it looks like I was completely right, but then I saw Danny Trejo played a major role in the film and that was all I needed to know.

In the trailer they posted it says it’s based on a true story, which I find highly unlikely since, as far as I know, there have never been any zombie outbreaks, but I suppose it could be based on a similar story where the zombies were, I don’t know, angry villagers, drug dealers, bears, or any of a hundred other completely plausible alternatives. Based on a true story is used so often on films these days that are completely different in every way from the source material that I’m willing to over look it on this film.

The film itself is already shot and ready for post production, so the money they are trying to raise is for things like sound design, CG effects, and all the other little things that come up in post production that end up costing you way more than you ever expected. If nothing else the film should be good for a few laughs if it turns out to be completely terrible so that’s why I stand behind the folks putting Zombie Hunter together. Go check it out. Maybe you’ll see something in it you’ll like.  I mean hell, it can’t be any worse than Deathwatch.
