Storyboards for Deathwatch are complete!
I’m so pleased to announce that the storyboards needed to complete Deathwatch’s storyline are all finally finished! It’s been a long road, doing this in my spare time, but finally after seven months, I can say that it’s done.
In total, there are 148 pages of drawings. I put 3 frames of story to each page, so that adds up to 444 pictures in total for this film. This is by far the biggest project I’ve ever undertaken, and I’m proud of what I’ve done.
I’ve also been commissioned by Fyl to make an “epic” movie poster/cover art for the DVD release. I plan on doing this as a watercolor painting, which will hopefully look a lot smoother and finished than storyboards generally do.
Before I do that, though, I need a brief break. I’ve spent the past seven months drawing chase scenes and angry fighting and such. I’m going to make something PRETTY. With rainbows. And unicorns. And any other girly-girl stereotypes I can possibly cram into one picture. I need this. I believe it is necessary to balance out the universe.
